Let's say that you are working in a large office and you have a lot of documents stored on your computer. Having so many documents can make it difficult to find a certain one when it's needed. Using the Windows search tool for finding a certain document may not be enough in some cases, because if the document is not named correctly, it will not be displayed in the search results. That's why one should install a specialized application for organizing documents. One of them is Artifact Manager.

This simple Windows program allows you to organize and catalog all your documents and place them into several categories, according to their type and their contents. After installing and loading the application, a sample database will be created, containing several documents. All these documents will be organized in several categories, which resemble a table of contents, and the user can easily see all the documents included in a certain category just by clicking on it. All the documents added to the program can be easily viewed directly into the interface, using the Windows default viewer for that file format.

The user can easily create his own database by creating a repository file, together with a username and password. Having a password will ensure that only you will have access to the repository and will be able to add or remove documents from it. An unlimited number of categories and documents can be added to the program. In case the user needs to reinstall the program, he can export its entire database as a file.
